Our Smart Green Cookbook is a free recipe and meal-planning website run by Maria Letizia Fasci. By using it you accept these terms.

Allergens and nutrition

Allergen labels, the allergen filters and the nutritional values are provided in good faith to help you choose, but they are approximate and may contain mistakes. Nutritional values are estimates based on typical ingredient data. Ingredients and their allergens also vary between brands and products.

If you or someone you cook for has an allergy or intolerance, always check the labels of the actual ingredients you use. The recipes and nutritional information are not medical or dietary advice; for specific dietary needs, consult a qualified professional.

Cooking safely

Cooking times, temperatures and portion sizes are guides. Use your own judgement, follow good food hygiene, and make sure food is cooked through and stored safely.

Recipes, photos and content

The recipe texts and photos on this site are our own work and protected by copyright. You are welcome to cook from them, print them and share links to them for personal use; please don't republish the texts or photos elsewhere without permission. The site icon was created with an AI tool.

Meal planner and shopping lists

Meal plans and shopping lists are generated automatically from the recipes and may contain rounding or conversion differences. Check them before you shop.

Accounts and your own recipes

An account is free and optional, for people aged 13 or older. It starts working once you confirm your email address with the link we send you. Keep your password to yourself: you're responsible for what happens with your account.

The recipes you add stay yours and are private: only you can see them, and the people you share a cookbook with. You allow us to store and process them only to run your cookbook. Please add only content you're allowed to use (for example, don't copy whole recipes or photos from books or other websites) and nothing illegal. If content or an account breaks these terms or the law, we may remove it or close the account, and we'll tell you why.

You can share a cookbook with up to 9 other people by sending them its invite link. Everyone in a shared cookbook can see, add, change and delete its recipes; its owner decides who's in it. Recipes you add to a shared cookbook stay in it for the others if you leave it or delete your account, so share only what you're happy to leave with them. You can also share a single recipe by its link: anyone who has the link can read that recipe and copy it, until you press "Stop sharing". Each shared recipe has a "Report it to us" link for anyone who finds something illegal in it.

You can download your data or delete your account at any time under Account. If we ever stop offering accounts, we'll tell you in advance so you can download your recipes. To report illegal content, write to contact@oursmartgreencookbook.com.

Shared meal plans, notes and chat

You can share a saved meal plan with up to 9 other people by sending them its invite link. Sharing a plan shares only that plan. Everyone in it sees its recipes, ticks off the same shopping list, and can write short notes on the list and messages in the plan's chat. Everyone who is in the plan, also people who join later, sees them with the name you chose. The plan's owner decides who's in it.

Be kind in notes and messages: nothing illegal, threatening or hateful, and no advertising. You can delete your own messages at any time, and when you leave a plan you can choose to delete everything you wrote in it. Otherwise it stays in the plan for the others until the plan is deleted or 12 months have passed; deleting your account deletes it too. We don't read the chats, but we look at a message when someone reports it to us, and remove it (or close the account) if it breaks these terms or the law. Every chat has a "Report it to us" link.

Availability and liability

The site is provided free of charge and "as is". We may change, pause or remove it or any content at any time. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or harm arising from the use of the site or its content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Links and sponsors

Links to other websites, including those of sponsors, are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

Privacy

How your data is handled is explained in the Privacy policy.

Changes and governing law

If these terms change, the new version is published here with a new "Last updated" date. These terms are governed by Swedish law.
